Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic technology roadmaps targeting 2026 market opportunities
- Lead research on emerging technologies (quantum AI, neurointerfaces, sustainable tech) for commercial application
- Partner with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with business objectives
- Manage a portfolio of R&D projects with $5M+ annual budget
- Present future technology forecasts to stakeholders and industry panels
- Build and mentor a team of 5+ futurist researchers and technologists
- Drive patent development for breakthrough innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record in launching commercialized tech innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, biotech, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex future scenarios
- Executive-level presentation and stakeholder management abilities
- Published thought leadership in technology or futurism
- Certification in Strategic Foresight preferred
