Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps by synthesizing signals from AI, biotech, and renewable energy sectors
- Establish and lead a global 'Future Council' of industry pioneers to identify emerging opportunities
- Design and execute proof-of-concept pilots for breakthrough technologies with $5M+ annual R&D budget
- Forge strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and national innovation institutes
- Present quarterly 'Horizon Reports' to C-suite and board members with quantified impact projections
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures thinking methodologies and scenario planning frameworks
- Represent the company at Davos, Web Summit, and other premier future-focused forums
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (patents/launches required)
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Futures Studies, or equivalent field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Experience developing multi-year innovation roadmaps with measurable KPIs
- Fluency in futures forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning)
- Exceptional stakeholder management across C-suite, investors, and government entities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed innovation journals
