Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year innovation roadmaps aligning with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing prototypes for AI ethics frameworks, climate adaptation tech, and bio-integrated interfaces
- Secure $5M+ in government/private funding for experimental projects
- Produce quarterly horizon-scanning reports on quantum computing, synthetic biology, and decentralized governance
- Partner with UN Global Compact to develop ethical AI standards for 2026 deployment
- Launch annual 'Future Forward' summit showcasing breakthrough technologies
- Drive patent strategy targeting 100+ 2026-relevant innovations
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Innovation, or Quantum Engineering
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with proven 5+ year horizon-planning success
- Published work in Nature Futures, IEEE Futures, or equivalent
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, climate tech, neuro-interfaces, or synthetic biology
- Portfolio of 3+ deployed technologies with global impact (e.g., carbon capture systems, brain-computer interfaces)
- Security clearance (Top Secret) or ability to obtain
- Fluency in future-casting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Monte Carlo simulations)
