Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams (AI, IoT, Quantum Computing) in prototyping and scaling breakthrough solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and industry pioneers
- Drive adoption of ethical AI frameworks and sustainable tech principles
- Mentor senior engineers and product managers on future-focused methodologies
- Present innovation strategies to C-suite executives and key stakeholders
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business case development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology innovation or R&D leadership, with proven track record in emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (or equivalent experience)
- Deep expertise in at least three of: AI/ML, Quantum Computing, Biotech, or Sustainable Tech
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends (white papers, patents, or keynotes)
- Experience managing innovation pipelines with successful product launches
- Strong proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Certification in Agile/Scrum and project management (PMP or equivalent)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
