Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care plans for weekend shift patients
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff and uphold departmental quality standards
- Participate in weekend shift rotations and on-call rotations as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana with no restrictions
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun 7a-7p)
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to changing patient volumes during weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
