Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts including vital signs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage patient flow in a fast-paced weekend clinic environment
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and emergency services for urgent cases
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Train and mentor new weekend staff as needed
Qualifications
- Active MA license or certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional weekend availability and reliability
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
