Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and injections
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain examination rooms
- Manage patient documentation accurately in EMR systems
- Coordinate weekend patient flow and triage urgent cases
- Administer medications and perform lab specimen collection
- Deliver exceptional patient education on treatment plans
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend schedules
- Strong attention to detail in documentation
