Responsibilities
- Lead System Migration: Spearhead the migration of on-premise servers to the cloud-native Version 2.6 architecture, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Architecture Review: Conduct rigorous code reviews and architecture assessments to identify bottlenecks in the legacy system prior to the 2.6 rollout.
- Performance Optimization: Implement performance tuning strategies to ensure the Version 2.6 platform meets SLAs for latency and throughput.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary technical point of contact for executives and engineering teams, providing regular status updates and technical documentation.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the QA process, creating and executing test plans to validate the stability of the new version.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve critical issues that arise during the deployment phases of the upgrade.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years specifically focused on major version upgrades (e.g., moving from 2.0 to 2.6).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C# with deep understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Database Management: Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including migration strategies.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
