Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures with precision
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor medical procedures
- Manage patient intake and electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile, organized workspaces
- Administer medications and injections per provider protocols
- Handle patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or ER setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Exceptional patient communication and bedside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Availability for all weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm)
