Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily operations, production goals, and workflow efficiency during the night shift to ensure 100% on-time delivery targets are met.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a zero-accident work environment.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and mentor a diverse team of night shift employees, conducting regular performance evaluations and shift briefings.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage warehouse inventory, and coordinate with logistics teams to resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify operational bottlenecks or equipment issues and implement immediate solutions to prevent downtime.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate logs, shift reports, and productivity metrics for review by upper management.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party vendors or shipping carriers to ensure seamless inbound and outbound operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Logistics preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) consistently.
- Leadership Skills: Strong proven track record of leading teams effectively and maintaining high morale during high-pressure periods.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (Excel, Word).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate a warehouse environment safely.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
