Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining our high-availability services that run 24/7. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure seamless deployment and optimal performance during peak off-peak hours.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python and Node.js.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real-time during night operations.
- Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated scaling strategies.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and best practices.
- Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity across distributed systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical incidents and outages.
- Document system architecture and technical specifications for future maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with experience in asynchronous programming.
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote night-shift environment.
