Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 Technical Support: Assist employees via phone, email, and in-person with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Manage Help Desk Tickets: Log, track, and resolve support requests efficiently using our ticketing system.
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues and firewall configuration problems.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory and ensure all equipment is properly labeled and secured.
- User Training: Conduct brief training sessions for new hires on essential software tools and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Flexibility: Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours per week) including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric attitude.
