Responsibilities
- Direct the strategic planning and execution of technical legacy projects ensuring seamless integration with the 2026 World Cup infrastructure requirements.
- Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and vendors to deliver scalable software solutions and smart city networks.
- Manage the full project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closure) while strictly adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring high availability, data security, and system integrity for public-facing applications.
- Collaborate with municipal stakeholders, city planners, and international governing bodies to align technical goals with broader event objectives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (8+ years) in Technical Project Management or Program Management within the technology, telecommunications, or event industries.
- Strong experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in a government or municipal context.
- PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 certification is required.
- Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Deep understanding of Smart City technologies, IoT, and high-volume data processing systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
