Responsibilities
- Architect scalable microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize application performance using Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Implement security best practices including OAuth2 and data encryption
- Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Document technical specifications and maintain API documentation
- Research emerging technologies and propose architectural improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Expert proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Deep AWS knowledge including EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design
- Proven experience leading development teams of 5+ engineers
- CI/CD expertise with Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Terraform
