Job Summary
The Senior IT Support Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance of IT systems. You will act as a mentor to junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network infrastructure issues via ticketing system.
- Manage and resolve escalated tickets with a focus on rapid resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Perform workstation deployment, imaging, and configuration for new hires and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and security alerts to proactively identify potential issues.
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct training sessions on internal tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve complex technical problems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, or a related field.
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Remote Desktop Services.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware components, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS), and common peripherals.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
