Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps identifying paradigm shifts in AI, biotech, and space exploration
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for Fortune 100 clients navigating 2026 digital transformation
- Author white papers on quantum-secure communications and AGI governance frameworks
- Manage $2M R&D budget for prototyping future-facing solutions (e.g., neural interfaces)
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at Davos and Web Summit as lead futurist speaker
- Mentor PhD candidates through our Horizon Fellowship program
- Secure 3+ patents annually in exponential technology domains
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurology (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with 5+ years in foresight methodology
- Published author in Nature/AI journals or equivalent peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in at least three exponential technologies: quantum, synthetic biology, or decentralized systems
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts (min. 2 successful exits)
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and global tech governance
- Proficiency in futures research tools (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning, causal layered analysis)
