Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across biotech, AI, quantum computing, and climate tech domains
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks using data modeling, scenario planning, and expert interviews
- Lead innovation workshops to translate future insights into actionable R&D priorities
- Author visionary whitepapers and executive briefings on disruptive technologies and societal impacts
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype solutions for 2026 market scenarios
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, scientists, and industry disruptors
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership quarterly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial success
- Expertise in scenario planning, data visualization, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences and technical teams
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Innovation Management (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Portfolio of published foresight work or innovation frameworks
