Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ strategic scenarios using horizon scanning, Delphi techniques, and quantitative forecasting
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize complex data into actionable business strategies
- Produce high-impact trend reports and predictive models for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D to evaluate emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for commercial viability
- Establish early-warning systems for disruptive market forces and paradigm shifts
- Present strategic insights to stakeholders through compelling narratives and data visualizations
- Mentor junior futurists and build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, consulting, or futurist role with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and predictive modeling methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional data synthesis skills with ability to translate complex insights into executive-level strategy
- Strong presentation skills with experience influencing C-suite decisions
- Published thought leadership in futurism, technology, or strategy publications
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar institution)
