Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable quantum computing hardware including qubit arrays and control systems
- Develop cryogenic cooling solutions for quantum processors operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Integrate quantum systems with classical HPC clusters and cloud platforms
- Implement error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives
- Document quantum system specifications and compliance with emerging industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum hardware design including superconducting circuits or trapped ion systems
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and ultra-low temperature environments
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and quantum-specific languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks for quantum system optimization
- Knowledge of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Certification in quantum computing from recognized institutions (e.g., IBM Q Network)
- Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed quantum technology journals
