Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Develop cryogenic control systems for qubit manipulation at millikelvin temperatures
- Optimize quantum error correction algorithms for 1000+ qubit systems
- Integrate quantum processors with classical high-performance computing networks
- Lead security protocols for quantum-encrypted communications infrastructure
- Document quantum system specifications and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years developing quantum computing or cryogenic systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit technologies
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and RF systems
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
