Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum processors operating at 100+ qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors using superconducting circuits
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography for next-gen secure communications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation workshops
- Secure federal grants and private funding for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Proven track record of securing research grants ($1M+ preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems
