Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science teams
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical mechanics
- Clearance for DoD research projects (or ability to obtain)
