Responsibilities
- Lead experimental design and execution of quantum algorithm development for 2026-scale computational challenges
- Publish high-impact research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and error correction protocols
- Develop novel quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our Nexus Fellowship program
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding from DARPA and NSF
- Present findings at global quantum conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Mathematics (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum simulation methodologies
- Ability to secure competitive research grants and industry partnerships
- Experience mentoring early-career researchers in quantum computing domains
