Responsibilities
- Develop and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design scalable quantum error correction protocols for practical quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in top-tier journals/conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Track record of interdisciplinary collaboration across physics/engineering teams
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
