Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) with quarterly milestone targets
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through DARPA and NSF proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published peer-reviewed research on quantum supremacy or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Security clearance eligibility or willingness to obtain Top Secret clearance
