Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era devices
- Develop novel error-correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional research in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into viable hardware-software interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
