Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware limitations
- Lead cross-functional research projects with hardware and software teams
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $500K+
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
