Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum hardware solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve quantum supremacy
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Experience with superconducting qubits, ion traps, or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex multi-variable systems
