Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government and corporate quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Drive commercialization of quantum computing solutions for Fortune 100 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with real quantum processors
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams
- Knowledge of quantum machine learning applications
