Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for industrial partners
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $500K+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and build next-generation quantum talent pipeline
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization and decoherence modeling
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
