Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experiments on 50+ qubit quantum processors to validate theoretical models
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and private quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
