Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and finance
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in IEEE Quantum and Nature Physics journals
- Secure SBIR/STTR grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with DOD partners on post-quantum cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Expertise in NISQ-era hardware limitations and workarounds
- Clearance eligibility for government-contracted research projects
- Strong track record of translating theory into practical implementations
