Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction and scalability
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks for commercial applications
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum system performance
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum theory
- Contribute to quantum cybersecurity standards for 2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development with published results
- Expertise in quantum gates, entanglement protocols, and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum processors
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning architectures
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (h-index >15)
