Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and error correction protocols
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives targeting 2026 quantum computing milestones
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for industrial applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of experimental rigor and innovation
- Secure external funding through NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-level languages (Python, C++)
- Published research in quantum information science or quantum computing architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and decoherence mitigation
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical quantum applications
- Experience with superconducting qubits, ion traps, or photonic quantum systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex quantum systems mathematically
