You'll lead breakthrough projects in quantum error correction, topological qubits, and hybrid quantum-classical systems while mentoring the next generation of quantum engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Develop error correction protocols achieving >99.9% qubit fidelity
- Collaborate with ML teams to create quantum-enhanced AI frameworks
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD interns from MIT, Stanford, and ETH Zurich
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM, Rigetti, or Google)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
