Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and coherence
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype next-generation quantum processors
- Lead research on quantum-classical hybrid systems for real-world applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through grants and partnerships with academic institutions
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source quantum computing framework
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum algorithms
- Expertise in at least one high-level programming language (Python, C++, Java)
- Published research in quantum computing or adjacent fields (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects and secure funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
