Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and Science journals
- Develop error-correction techniques for practical quantum computing
- Mentor junior researchers through our Quantum Academy program
- Collaborate with hardware teams to benchmark quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of Shor's and Grover's algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra and group theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Patent portfolio in quantum computing desirable
