Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research for optimization and simulation applications
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for scalable systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design quantum circuit architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present at international conferences
- Drive open-source contributions to quantum computing frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
