Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architecture
- Lead research initiatives in quantum simulation for material science and drug discovery
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing educational initiatives
- Secure research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Published research in quantum computing or adjacent fields (arXiv, IEEE journals)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
- Passion for ethical technology development and quantum security frameworks
