Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Secure $2M+ in government/private quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
- Define roadmap for quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published record in Nature/Science/IEEE journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance protocols
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti/IBM/IonQ)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
