Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance quantum system stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Secure research grants and patents for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through hackathons and internal R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF, DARPA, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
