Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Lead research on quantum machine learning frameworks for pattern recognition in big data
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise quantum computing internship programs
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
