Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-develop quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with MIT, Stanford, and IBM Quantum Network partners
- Author peer-reviewed publications and deliver quarterly technical roadmaps for quantum advantage milestones
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $5M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Develop quantum-safe cryptographic systems for 2026's post-quantum cybersecurity landscape
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction in top-tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation and NISQ-era constraints
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware platforms
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information theory
- Track record of securing competitive research funding (NSF, DoE, or equivalent)
