Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead error correction research to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information science
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/NIH quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction (surface/colour codes)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq and C++/Python
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Security clearance eligibility (for government contracts)
