Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments on proprietary 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with AI and nanotechnology teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DoD research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Security clearance or ability to obtain DoD clearance
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
