Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum error correction protocol development for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DOE grants
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-disciplinary innovation
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical applications for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
