Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable systems
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Shape quantum computing standards for 2026 industrial adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerance strategies
- Proven track record of securing government/industry grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
