The Opportunity
We seek a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to lead groundbreaking research at our San Francisco headquarters. This role offers unparalleled resources to explore quantum algorithms, error correction, and hardware-software co-design in a collaborative, cutting-edge environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier scientific journals and conferences

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- Proven expertise in quantum computing theory and practical implementations
- Strong programming skills in Python, Qiskit, or similar quantum frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms and complexity theory
- Research experience with quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic systems)
