Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with machine learning teams on quantum-enhanced AI frameworks
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government/private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with Qiskit/Cirq
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through grant proposals
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and complexity classes
