Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional projects combining quantum physics, AI, and high-performance computing
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier quantum conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and Python/C++
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-energy physics
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical implementations
